Composer/Arranger
and guitarist
Dave Hart has been
scoring commercials
since 1987. In that
time he has worked with
New York based agencies
Ogilvy & Mather, Messner
Vitare, BBDO, and
McCann Erickson to name a few.
He has scored spots
for American Express,
Miller, MCI, Maxwell
House, Jaguar,
MTV, Polaroid, NASDAQ,
The NBA and many more.
He has received several
awards for his
work including Addy's
and New York Festivals Medals.
Dave has also scored
many documentaries
and independant films,
as well as
numerous corporate
films for companies
like Sony, Nortel,
KPMG and SAP.

Dave began his music
career at
the age of 10 as
a soloist in professional
choirs, highlighted
by his acceptence to the
New York City Opera
Children's Choir.
At the same time
Dave began to study guitar and went
on to pursue guitar
as his major in college.
He attended Syracuse
University
for two years and
studied
classical and jazz
guitar performance under
guitarist Carlo Manobianco.
Dave completed his study
at NYU as a Music
Technology major and graduated
in
1987 with a
Bachelor Of Music.

Dave feels much of
his success as a
commercial composer
stems from his versatility.
He enjoys writing
in many styles ranging from electronica
to orchestral, as
well as his specialty of guitar driven
styles like rock
and folk. "I love the challenge of having to
write in a particular
genre, be it ska, blues, Motown,
80's pop, dance,
classical or whatever.
Finding what gave
them their unique sounds,
rhythms
and harmonies and recreating them is something
I enjoy and feel
I do well"

Dave is also writing
and recording
original songs which
he plans to release on
cd in the near future.
